ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ UTILITY ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ The Utility program allows the sysop to better control the EAW2 game. Option 1. This allows the sysop to change the name and hence the player of a selected country. Select country by typing in numbers 1 to 6. Then type in the name just as your BBS produces it for EAW2. Usually it will join first and last name with a space between. Option 2. This allows the sysop to change the BBS number that a country is assigned. Your BBS number defaults to number 0, and the BBS name is taken from the EAW2.ctl file. If you change this it will show the BBS that the player is playing from. Please note that this is informational only. The BBS numbers listed here do not control inbound or outbound files. You must configure the control record to affect the actual file transfer. Option 3. This lists all BBS's that have unique numbers that BVB play can be used. Option 4. This is the entry form to enter the BBS number and other information for any BBS that can have BVB play. Option 5. This is the update form to change the BBS number and other information for any BBS that can have BVB play. Option 6. This lists the Inbound and Outbound control record for the selected game. Option 7. This allows the sysop to change the Inbound and Outbound control record. To facilite BVB play your BBS must have a unique number on the net. This number may not be used by any other BBS among all the BBS's that connect to yours or any BBS that your BBS net connects to. Interface Control is the actual BBS nos. where game information is sent of recieved from. If the game turn is actually run at your bbs site answer yes for Mother BBS. If the game turn is to run at another bbs site answer no for this being a mother BBS. Input the path information where the remote files are to be found. Input the path information where the outbound files are to be put. Outbound remote information - This must be confirmed by remote BBS sysops. Each site that the game is being played may not be the same game number. In order that different game numbers at different sites can be handled this matrix must be filled in correctly. Example: Satillite BBS is running 4 games. The mother BBS is running 7 games. Mother BBS game 5 is Satillite BBS game 2. Mother BBS must list the countries that are being sent to the Satillite BBS as game number 2. Satillite BBS must list the games being sent to Mother BBS as game 5. Note Inbound information is not used at this time. Option 8. This allows the sysop to rebuild the Index files of certain key records. Option 9. You must tell the game what amoung the listed BBS's is your BBS number. If your BBS is the mother BBS for this game then no information from remote sites will overlay the information on your system. If your BBS is a satellite BBS for this game then your Move information will be exported and new information will overlay old information after each game turn. Option M. In case option 8 does not fix the problem try this option. This will copy ARMY.DAT, NAVY.DAT, LEADER.DAT to a temporary file. Then the first is erased and rebuilt using the temporary file as a source. Note - ESCape Key exits input option. ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄEnd of HelpÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
