~* * * P L A Y * * * ~ Welcome to In-Between. This is a simple game to play but sometimes it is difficult to beat. You are dealt three cards with the one in the middle being face down and the ones on the end being face up. The cards on the ends will be High Card on the left and Low Card on the right. You place a bet on rather the middle card will be In-Between these cards according to value, with Ace being one (1) low and King being (13) high. Pay-Off's on bets are done with Odd's. This is determined by the number of card values that will win. When playing the game an Odd's box is displayed and as each hand is dealt it will mark the correct Odd's with an (*) Asterisk. Also, beware of the Joker. It is always in one of the hands in then middle card position. When you hit this it will cost you ten times your bet. You are started out with 500 Points and there is no limit to the bet up to your total points. If you Bankrupt you lose the remaining hands for the day. But when you play another day you will be given another 500 Points to start you off again. The number of hands per day is determined by the Sysop. Number of hands can range from Ten (10) to Thirty (30) a day. The registered version of In-Between allows Make-Up Days and also Playing Ahead. These features are also controlled by the Sysop and can be activated or turned off. Making up days, when enabled, may be done only after the current day has been played. After which if there are missed days or if the Play Ahead feature is activated the game will display a Calender for the current month, marking the days played, missed or unplayable. You can select another day to play. You may also leave the game and return later the same day and play missed or days ahead. Ansi Color or Mono can be turned on and off by entering 'A' at any command prompt or at the Main Menu. ~Thanks For Playing In-Between
