The release of this package had been approved by Gary A. Martin. This package is a direct substitution of your current v1.03 executable files. Simply unarchive the four executable programs (.EXE and .OVR files) over your current v1.03 files (or copy them over your existing files) and continue playing your current game. You will see ver 1.03d when you first get into Trade Wars and in the View Game Status selection of the main command prompt. The primary purpose for release of this package is to fix a particular bug that is VERY harmful to game play. It will fix this particular bug as well as a few more. For those running DESQview, it will also share CPU time slices with other processes (configurable amount of sharing in new TEDIT). The files have been tested extensively on this BBS, and in my estimation it will act the same as v1.03 with the exception of several bug fixes and the DESQview CPU time slice sharing. Those bug fixes are: - % aliens bug fixed - multiple dumps of colonists per day to drop alignment bug fixed (but as I stated in my bug report, it must be done before the user spends too much time in the game in order for it to still drop points on the first dump, perhaps porting is what makes it think that it cannot drop your alignment on the first try. Nevertheless, it can be explained how to ensure that they will get one dump per day and change alignment.) - Dissappearing treasuries and citadels bug (illusion) fixed. - Planet cloning bug fixed. I expect that this was fixed due to the fix for dissappearing treasuries/citadels bug. Text by Dan Roseen
