03-13-95 changes in version 4.9; Worked on mmconfig for continued lock up troubles when processing netmail messages. Changes in version 4.8; The memory limitation fix for Gedit/External editor option has bombed. After spending many hours on it to find out I needed many more hours just to make the dern thing work a little better I found that it wasn't enough. Therefore this problem has been put on hold. You will still need lots of memory if you want to use the Gedit/external editor option. I cleaned up the graphics and added a bit more of them. I cleaned up MMCONFIG some also and made it run a bit better. I am in full beleif that I finally found the lock up problem with mmconfig (when running recv.bat). Since I couldn't get Gedit/external editor going like desired. I opted to add word wrap in the line editor. Yes, the line editor now has word wrap. So hopefully that will help suffice a little till I figure what I can do on the Gedit without a total rewrite. version 4.8, like version 4.7 will only process mail packets generated by the same version number. ie: version 4.8 will only process other version 4.8 messages Changes in version 4.7; Fixed a problem with the netmail message header. Fixed memory limitation on GEDIT/External Editor Option Added lots of graphics which is a preview of 5.0 This version was never really intended by it just had to be. I couldn't hold back the graphical reworking for that long. I still have alot of plans for little changes and fixes here and there. Changes in version 4.6; I am guessing that the lockup bug in MMCONFIG is/was a multiple problem.... ie: I fixed one thing last time and we still have a similar problem so I now changed a few more things to see if the ailment goes away. This version may be a tad bit slower when running the RECV.BAT (mmconfig /d). Also concerning RECV.BAT (mmconfig /d); user created netmail/file attaches will NOT be processed unless the sending system used the same version of softeware... ie: version 4.6 will only process netmail from other version 4.6 systems This does not affect the *.DAT file processing. Changes in version 4.5; looking for bug which causes MMCONFIG to lock up occasionally hoping this version will fix the problem Changes in version 4.4; -None - this versions' only purpose is to avoid confusion since a unfinished version of 4.3 was intially distributed. Changes in version 4.3; -Stabilized mmconfig, since it was occasionally barfing on netmail messages -Stabilized Novell routines in mmconfig -Stabilized time routines, there was still an occassion burp -Added abort to the non-interbbs questionaire/dreamer -Added 2nd chance warning for Interbbs questionaire/dreamer Changes in version 4.2; -CLS when switch modules + please wait -fixed incorrect total count display in InterBBS portion -fixed time bug it would give them back the total time when they changed from module to module (.exe & .ovl). -fixed inter-bbs prompt it was adding a new one under the old when an incorrect keystroke occurred Changes in version 4.1; 4.0 had a major bug when used in InterBBS mode. MMCONFIG would lock up leaving the system hung. I can't appoligize enough for this error. I also fixed inaccurate user totals in the InterBBS section and placed a Clear Screen with a Please Wait when switching modules. Changes in version 4.0; With version 4.0 we now incorporate support for NON STANDARD INTERRUPTS and NON FOSSIL systems. As well as multi-tasker detection and support.... Chat finally is dependable.. Added support for an external message editor 04-21-94 Changes in version 3.3; I now allow DEMO KEYS for this door. The demo keys are dated and will expire approximately 30 days after the date they are acquired. I totally re-wrote the browse/match area (again). It is now crippled in the local browse area just as it is in the Inter-BBS browse area. This is the reason for demo keys. 04-19-94 Version 3.1 had a couple problems that I cured in this version. The main problem with 3.1 was that it didn't always save the sex and preference correctly when the user entered the Inter-BBS section. If you presently have any users in the Inter-BBS section with false data you can delete their record in the Inter-BBS part. This will cause them to answer the questions again. But it will also get theie record straightened out. I totally changed the browse/match sections and combined them into one section. I also added a message viewer/deleter to the mmconfig and got rid of the Netmail Chk variable. I now have a full fledged DIR routine in MMCONFIG .. this will vastly improve the speed of the maintenance runs...
