This document is intended for users of the PortalFix functions in Portal.

Description
-----------
PortalFix combines AreaFix<tm>, FileFix<tm> and TickFix<tm??> into one
function. The main difference is the command set, which is described below:

What to do
==========

To use PortalFix, you will have to ask the SysOp of the host system for a
password. When ever you want to use the function, all you need to do is to
write a matrix (net mail) like this:

From: Your name
To  : PortalFix
Subj: Your password

And use the functions described below.

When finished, send the message to the host system. A few moments after
disconnecting, you should be able to pick up an answer from the Host system,
describing just what has happened.

Functions
=========

All [xxx] fields are parameters, and are *NOT* optional for the specified
commands.

Cmd. syntax                Action
-----------                ------
+[name]                    Connect to an echo mail area.
-[name]                    Disconnect from an echo mail area.
FILE [name]                Connect to a file, forwarded by the host system.
NOFILE [name]              Disconnect to a file, forwarded by the host system.
TICK [name]                Connect to a tick area, or an entire group.
NOTICK [name]              Disconnect from a tick area, or an entire group.

FORWARDLETTER              Ask to be sent a message, whenever files are
                           forwarded to you, from the host system.
NOFORWARDLETTER            Ask *NOT* to be sent a message, whenever files are
                           forwarded to you, from the host system.

PASSWORD [new pwd]         Change your PortalFix password to something else.
TICKPASSWORD [new pwd]     Change your Tick-file password.
SESSIONPASSWORD [new pwd]  Change your mail session password.

TICKS                      Ask for a list of all tick areas available to you.
AREAS                      Ask for a list of all echo mail areas available to
                           you.
FILES                      Ask for a list of all forwarded files available to
                           you.

                           All the list commands will tell you which areas, or
                           files, you are receiving, by displaying a '*' in
                           front of the [name] field.
