write to them.


[Whats new in the version]

1. No longer displays every base name, just the ones with new messages.
2. Pauses after a screen full of data.
3. After scan has completed, tells the user how many waiting messages
   the user has.

[What is Monkey's Eyebrow]

Monkey's Eyebrow is a Renegade BBS utility whichs shows a list of unread
personal  mail to the current user.  Below is  an example of  the output
displayed to a user.  In this example  Loser User has left a message  to
the user who is scanning for personal mail.

[How To Install Monkey's Eyebrow]

To install Monkey's Eyebrow:

1. In DOS, copy MONKEY.EXE into any directory you choose.
2. In the Renegade Menu Editor, put the command keys to scan for personal
   mail as "D-". You can do this in any menu you like, but I suggest the
   message menu or the startup menu.
3. Put the options string as "d:\path\MONKEY.EXE d:\bbspath %# %P"
   d:\path    = The path to MONKEY.EXE
   d:\bbspath = The path to RENEGADE.DAT
   %#         = Is the "%#" MCI Code. This is to figure out which user
                is online.
   %P         = Is the "%P" MCI Code. This is to figure out the active COM
                port.

I suggest you put this in your logon sequence, so that when a user logs on
he/she can see new mail to him/her.


[Why is it called Monkey's Eyebrow]

I couldn't think of a creative name for a Renegade Personal Mail Scanner.
Then all of a sudden a thiugh of the little town of Monkey's Eyebrow here
in my home state of Kentucky. That is where the name came from.
