AutoFREQ 3.1b Copyright (C) Russell Steinthal 1994 All Rights Reserved ============================================================================== AutoFREQ is a utility door for BBS sysops to allow users to request files from other BBS's using Fidonet's FREQ capability. The requests are handled automatically using an existing front-end mailer system. Please note that AutoFREQ DOES not include its own modem support. Therefore, when used on any BBS software which does not include communications redirection, a Doorway (tm) type program must be used. See AUTOFREQ.DOC for more information. The following files should be in the distribution archive: AUTOFREQ.EXE-----The AutoFREQ program AFSETUP.EXE-----The configuration program AUTOFREQ.DOC-----The documentation for AutoFREQ README.TXT-----This file REGISTER.TXT-----Information on registering AutoFREQ WHATSNEW.TXT-----The revision history of AutoFREQ, and new features list NOTIFY.TXT-----Sample notification file COLORS.LST-----Color palette UPGRADE.TXT-----Upgrade instructions VENDOR.DOC-----Instructions for shareware distributors FILE_ID.DIZ-----Description file for AutoFREQ F2DIRM10.ZIP-----F2DIRM, a utility by Wayne Robinson LISTFIX.ZIP-----A utility to fix some file lists There is also one minor change in the documentation, as follows. Section 6.5 of AUTOFREQ.DOC notes that AutoFREQ cannot handle master file lists with whitespace before the filename when extended descriptions are turned on. Although this is still the case, those spaces may be removed using the LISTFIX utility, which is now included in the AutoFREQ archive. Complete documentation for LISTFIX is included in LISTFIX.ZIP. License ======= AutoFREQ is shareware. It is not free. You are free to use AutoFREQ for an evaluation period of 30 days. After that, if you continue to use AutoFREQ, you are required to register it. You may freely copy and distribute AutoFREQ, provided that you always distribute the ENTIRE archive, exactly as you received it (you may, of course, convert the compression format, or distribute the files uncompressed on disk). You may not charge any fee for AutoFREQ, except for a nominal charge to cover the cost of disks, not to exceed $5 per copy. Public domain and shareware distributors who wish to list AutoFREQ in a catalog must contact the author for permission. See the accompanying file VENDOR.DOC for more information. (Distributors who are approved by the Association of Shareware Professionals are exempt from this requirement). Under no circumstances is the author's copyright to be removed from the program. Decompiling and other reverse engineering of AutoFREQ is prohibited. The registration key for AutoFREQ that users receive with registration is NEVER to be distributed. At no point does the author lose his copyright on the software, and the author retains at all times the right to limit the distribution and use of AutoFREQ. -Russell Steinthal
