Warning: If you are hatching files from a directory into a file echo where the destination directory is the same as the directory the files are being hatched from, then you MUST change your configuration. ALLFIX no longer toggles the archive attribute bit, to mark files that have been hatched. Therefore, ALLFIX does not know which files it has allready hatched, and it will continue to hatch the same files over and over again, until your harddrive is full! The NEW METHOD is much more elegant. Please read the section in the documentation about the Magic filename manager. Go into the Magic filename manager, and make a new entry and select as type 'HatchNew'. Then select the correct file echo area and you are all done! ALLFIX will look in the destination directory for that file echo, and hatch any files with a time and date newer than the time and date stored in the LASTSCAN.FIX file. ALLFIX will use the description as found in the FILES.BBS file. DO NOT forget to remove the entries in the hatch manager that may cause problems with this new method! I think that you will grow to like this new method, as soon as you have tried it out! Thanks, Harald.
