These are some representative questionaires which I use to let users configure their mail for themselves. They work for the levels of users I have: Level 10 - non-paying user, not full access. Level 20 - paying, but not for the adult areas. Level 30 - paying adult (verified) user Level 40 - 'friends of sysop access' Level 50 - 'more trusted friends' who can e.g. overwrite files here, can edit any description, etc etc etc. i.e. near sysop level. These questionaires demonstrate the use of the CONF 30(ON) style feature of UBBS. The advantage this has over the CONFS XXXXX style configuration is that the XXX will over-write the existing areas the user is set up for, whereas the CONF 30 (OFF) will only affect the conference being addressed. Much nicer way of doing it. On expiration from level 20 or 30 the user gets kicked into Conference 15 here, and gets a questionaire on rejoining. this is the exp or whatever questionaire. If they don't want to be a member, they get locked out. Not the nicest way of doing it, but it gets them off my system. I will probably change this now that I know that they can't d/l even with their uploads in their stats here. The logic of the adult questionaires is a bit confused, as it doesn't work as i intended it. But it does work, and that is what I really am after. I haven't looked to see where the flaw is, but really don't care to spend the time doing it. If you see the flaw, let me know and I'll look at it. These are just examples. If they don't help, sorry. If they do, good. The conferencing is one of the most powerful features of UBBS, IMHO. Try these types of things out and see if you dont' agree. BTW, should be self-evident, but these are set up in the setup feature of UBBS, and e.g. lvl20.qes is only accessible to level 20 or greater users. I have a little screen here telling who can do what. I have not included it (probably should have). Sorry. If you really need it, let me know.
