The Modem/Cable version of ITRON's COMMIX Network Software (CNS) supplied
with this diskette supports the same functions, except electronic mail, as
the standard version of COMMIX Network Software for a COMMIX network. CNS
works on personal computers operating under MS-DOS, and gives you the
capability to auto-dial Hayes(c) compatible modems, emulate a VT100
terminal, transfer files, and manage serial printers.

The standard version is available for $49, and includes full documentation
and support for use in a COMMIX 32 network. The full version also includes
electronic mail capability. The COMMIX 32 is an intelligent hardware unit
which provides highly flexible office networking for PC,s Macintoshes,
minicomputers, modems, and printers. At a cost of approximately $120 a port,
you can have transparent communication between computing devices. Because
the COMMIX 32 recognizes the Hayes(c) "AT" command set it is compatible with
most PC applications and hardware. Speed, code, and parity conversion give
you great connectivity without having to constantly reconfigure computing
devices. 

Thin and standard Ethernet LAN modules are available for COMMIX 32 to
provide convenient premises networking of multiple COMMIX 32 units. A Wide
Area Network module expands COMMIX 32 networking to a global scale. The
COMMIX Print Buffer modules delivers effective management of printing
resources.

shareware concept. This means that you can make and distribute as many
copies as you wish. CNS is copyrighted software (1987) and YOU MAY NOT sell
CNS alone or as part of another product. The complete manual is supplied as
a file (CNS.DOC) on this diskette. It will tell you how to install and use
CNS. To use it, you can either TYPE CNS.DOC to read it on your screen, or
PRINT CNS.DOC to print the manual on your printer. No other documentation or
support is provided with this Modem/Cable version.
