To all, greetings First of all, thanks for downloading and looking at PC-VCO. I hope that you found it a usable communications utility, and perhaps fun. PC-VCO was under- taken with several goals in mind... among them was building a bridge between different PCs. In making common ground between MacIntosh and MSDOS users, I believe that PC-VCO has succeeded. Early next year (I have been told that it will be beta'd in February) there'll be a compatible ST-VCO for the Atari ST. There are at least two VCOs under development for the Amiga - one of which will be compatible with the Mac/PC versions. So - we have bridges. But I had several goals in mind - as I said. Another goal was to develop a solid communications program base, on which I could add 'accessories'. PC-VCO is the first accessory. With the release of the fourth version (numbered 1.3, naturally) I believe (I hope) that I have a solid base. In January, it is my intention to begin version 2.0. When I release 2.0 there'll be two addi- tional accessories. Each will use the communications package as a base, and offer different graphic interactions. When I release 2.0, I'll release the specs for the accessories with the hope compatible functions will be constructed on other machines. I'd be happy to talk with anyone interested in building their own MSDOS accessories, too. Look for version 2.0 around the end of March, beginning of April. Now - to those who've contributed to this shareware effort - a special thanks. I'm independant now (i.e. not employed), and its scary. The reception PC-VCO has received already has helped quite alot to settle the nerves. My wife and I planned and hoped for this time - it is not an accident - but your support and enthusiasm carried me through one dark moment already. To all I wish Season's pleasures and joys. To all, this Winter's Solstice, 1986 Scott
