The files are PTRCRIB.TXT, which summarizes the base set of control codes for these printers, and the extended control codes for the Epson FX printers and the IBM Proprinter, and IBMCRIB.TXT, FXCRIB.TXT, and PRPCRIB.TXT which summarize the printable characters and all the control codes for a particular printer. If I haven't already uploaded them, I will also include PRNTMATH.DAT, which lets an Epson FX printer print the full upper- and lowercase Greek character set, as well as useful mathematical symbols, and PRNTIBM.DAT, which lets an EPSON FX printer print the IBM Graphics character set. To use these last two files, just "COPY" the file to the printer. Warning: John really knows what he's doing and these data files contain control codes to print them. If you try to print them with a word processor, you might get all kinds of crazy stuff. I started with printing them from Wordstar and my printer went nuts. The way to print them is to us the copy command: copy a:filename.ext lpt1: The Proprinter text has Proprinter controls and the FX text has FX controls. If you are going to print the FX file on a Proprinter, you need to change the escape sequences which appear at the beginning of the sections. The virtue of printing them in the way John has set them up is that he has drawn some little charts of the extended character sets and they are nice, but sent through a word processor, they might give your printer a nervous breakdown.
