READ.ME for the Eagle-Editor (Eagledit.ARC) By: Rick Prince May 8, 1988 (Eagle115.ARC) Jun 4, 1988 [ June 4, 1988 ] v1.15a This is a much improved enhancement over the original version. I have added a directory window, so that you can chose the file you wish to edit. Also added the ability to change drives. Improved Error detection and hopefully any bugs crawling around. Changed some of the edit commands to one-key selection, instead of the nasty *WordStar*, but those who do like WS can still use those commands, both are supported. The on-line help file still isn't ready yet, but will be added at a later date. Some of the edit commands are listed while editing. But it is still a good idea to keep this file handy to help you with the commands available. Please report any improvements and bugs to me. I can be reached on my BBS: The Eagle's Nest Jacksonville, Florida (904) 777-8757 1200/2400,8,N,1 24 Hours - 7 Days a week (Registration required) GEnie - R.A.PRINCEJR Compuserve 71121,2334 To those local users (Jacksonville, Fla.), I haven't changed the default of 72 characters per line (Yet!!). But if user response is good, it will give me even more incentive to do so. * Disclaimer * This program is PUBLIC DOMAIN (v1.15) is FREE, no cost is to be charged to anyone wishing to use this editor, excluding subscription access cost to BBS systems where you may have found this program. No warranty is expressed or implied and your use of this FREE editor is at your own risk. I retain the rights to the source code, however it is available upon request for a small mailing fee, or free if request for, and obtained from my BBS. You must own a copy of Borlands Turbo Pascal and Editor ToolBox (v4.0) in order to use the source code I have developed, otherwise it is useless without them. [ May 8, 1988 ] v0.01 This is a quick and easy editor I created using the Borland Turbo Pascal compiler and Turbo Pascal Editor ToolBox. Those familiar with WordStar will have no problem using this editor, it uses the same CTRL command keys as WordStar. This is strictly a test project, and is an experiment for me to see how the editor toolbox works. In future releases I will add a HELP box that will pop-up a window with information on the edit commands that are available. But for the time being here are the editor commands that are available.
