I N S T R U C T I O N S   F O R   T H E   Personal CASE   D E M O

Thank you for your interest in Personal CASE. This diskette or download
contains:

-    the Personal CASE demo program file (PCASE.EXE)

-    the instruction file that you are viewing (README.TXT)

-    a brief intro to Personal CASE that can be printed on any text printer
     (INTRO1.TXT, INTRO2.TXT)
         
-    a complete command and action summary that explains each Personal CASE
     command (COMMAND1.TXT, COMMAND2.TXT, COMMAND3.TXT)

-    a sample Personal CASE design (ACCTG.*)

Personal CASE is a Microsoft Windows application, and must be started from
the Windows MS-DOS Executive. You must have MS Windows installed on your
system before you can use Personal CASE.

To install Personal CASE, simply copy all of the files contained on the
demo disk into a single directory on your hard disk. View or print the
sections of the demo user guide with Windows Notepad or any other text
editor. An introduction and step-by step tutorial is included in INTRO1.TXT
and INTRO2.TXT. COMMAND1.TXT, COMMAND2.TXT and COMMAND3.TXT contain a full
description of all of the Personal CASE commands and actions. The user guide
is split up into separate files so that it can be viewed with Windows Notepad.

The text files are excerpted from the actual Personal CASE user guide, a
bound, illustrated, 150 page manual. 

To start Personal CASE, double-click on the name PCASE.EXE from the MS-DOS
Executive. The demo is fully functional, except that it cannot save a design
to disk and export graphics to other Windows applications. The program can
also be started directly from the distribution diskette.
