Title:  286 and 286A Product Information 

 
 Please be aware that there are two versions of Advanced NetWare 
286 V2.0 and V2.0a and also two versions of SFT NetWare 286 Level 
I V2.0a.  They are "286" and "286A" and will appear on the 
diskette label as Advanced NetWare 286 or Advanced NetWare 286A. 
These products are not interchangeable.  The Advanced NetWare 286 
product is for use on the IBM PC/AT and compatibles, whereas the 
Advanced NetWare 286A product is for use on Novell NetWare 286A 
and 286B file servers ONLY.  Again, these products are not 
interchangeable.  If product is shipped incorrectly it will need 
to be replaced.  Attempting to run Advanced NetWare 286 on a 
NetWare 286A or 286B file server will result in the following 
error message: 
 
               "ABEND: operating system mismatch." 
 
 The same message will appear if the Advanced NetWare 286A 
product is run on an IBM PC/AT or compatible. 
 
 Please note this information and if you have the wrong product 
for your machine have it replaced before attempting operation.
