BBSDor Future Plans                 10/26/89

     I have put together this text file just to give you some idea of 
   what I have in mind for future releases of BBSDor.  I feel that if
   you know what to expect, then you will be better able to judge the
   value of this door.  None of this list is in any sort of order and
   of course this list isn't by any  means the end.  This is just the
   beginning and these are just a few things that I had planned to do
   but wanted to get the door out there for feedback from it's users.

     A few of the things you can look for in the next "major" release
   are as follows:

     The entire database will be indexed according to the each of the
   selection fields.   This will allow a user to find hundreds of BBS
   listings in just a matter of seconds.

     The editor will include a merge utility which will allow a sysop 
   to swap databases with other sysops. He will then simply merge the
   lists together to form a huge database.

     The editor will create color bulletins.

     Other future plans will include the following:

     As an enhancement to the Zip-a-List feature, I will create .FON
   files for "most" of the major comm packages such as Qmodem, Telix
   and PC+.

     There will be conversion utilities available for such BBS lists 
   as Darwin's and 9600BBS.

     Users will be able to download BBS lists with enhanced listings.

     BBSDor will allow for "endorsments".  These will be a three line
   description  similar to the long  descriptions except they will be 
   entered by anyone who cares to add there two cents on any favorite
   aspects of a board.   The number of endorsments an entry may carry 
   is going to be unlimited.

     The entire program will be converted to C using GAPCDR for more
   speed and reduced size.

     "As needed" enhancements...

     More BBS software types will be added to the selection list.

     More fields will be added to both the enhanced and extended data
   listings.  This is one that will require conversion utilities so it
   is also one that will be strongly considered before it is done. BUT
   the door is by no means closed on this subject.

     Plus much, much more as I receive suggestions from the doors users.
   
     Adjustments to the editor will be available to the registed users as
   they are finished through my BBS.  Adjustments to the door itself will
   be included in shareware releases only.
