PlotData 1.0: A Plotter with Analysing Data by Dr. Weiguang Huang 5/6 Cara Road, Geelong, Vic. 3216, Australia With PlotData, data can be plotted on the screen, viewed, edited, analysed, differentiated, integrated, calculated, and reproducted graphically. Many sets of data can be overlapped to solve systems of equations graphically. Users can zoom in and out grpah. It offers an interactive menu environment for the easy to use, and a hardcopy on any common dot matrix printer. It can be interfaced with other software, particularly with SymbMath (the software of symbolic computation for math and chemistry). PlotData can read the data in the SymbMath format without any modification, in the BAS-100 instrument format, and in many other data format. If SymbMath is interfaced with PlotData, SymbMath produces the data table of the functions, and PlotData plots curves from the data table, as SymbMath seems to do graphics. Users can use this interface to make the pictures, to plot curves for functions, and to solve equations graphically. It requires an IBM-PC with 360 KByte RAM, the graphical monitors (CGA, EGA, or Hercules), or the dot matrix printers for the hardcopy. Shareware version of PlotData, PlotD10A.ZIP, will be available from the Plot directory in SIMTEL20 on anonymous FTP sites.
