How does PC-Hypertext link with other programs?
                   ===============================================

What does it do?   Whenever PC-Hypertext finds a program or DOS call in
================   angle brackets, the program saves the current settings
                   and location information to a file, creates a batch file
                   to run your DOS/program calls, then exits from memory
                   while calling the batch file.  The batch file runs the
                   program calls, then reloads PC-Hypertext with all the
                   current settings and location information.

Why this way?      While I could leave PC-Hypertext in memory to speed up the
=============      calling process, I use this batch file method to leave
                   memory totally free for your other programs.  This approach
                   provides users with all of the system memory for their own
                   applications, and eliminates any possibility of memory
                   conflicts with co-resident programs.

Other formats?     While I could include more file types, the program
==============     already automatically recognizes eight (8) such formats
                   (KINDS OF JUMPS <File0A>).  Rather than slow down
                   the speed of the angle-bracket jumps, I've include the
                   capability to make any kind of hypertext jump desired
                   with our program-call option.

Other jumps?       For other types of hypertext jumps, you might put a
============       batch filename in angle brackets to call a program that
                   modifies the files, links, and structure of
                   PC-Hypertext.

============       on any graphic file displayed to select subsequent graphic
