P2QWINST.EXE - Program which configures WIN.INI for you P2QW.EXE - Quote conversion program PRODIGY.PIF - Sample Windows 3.1 Prodigy PIF If you are upgrading from the previous version of P2QW: Simply copy P2QW.EXE over the old version and you are done. P2QWINST will give you the four options you need to complete. These options are described below. When you have finished, click on OK. Select the group in the Program Manager which you want P2QW to run from (usually the same as Quicken). Select File,New in the Program Manager. Enter a Title and path\P2QW.EXE for the program name. When you are through, Press Enter. (You should now see an icon with P2QW in the group you selected. You are now ready to go. Just double click on the P2QW icon and you are off and running. P2QWINST can be run at anytime to update or change your WIN.INI parameters for P2QW as it is non-destructive. The four WIN.INI parameters are: ProdigyPIF - This is the fully qualified (eg. C:\PRODIGY\PRODIGY.PIF) name of the PIF file that you use when you are running Prodigy from Windows. If you don't have one, try using the PRODIGY.PIF supplied with P2QW. ProdigyFile - This is the fully qualified name of the file which is produced when you select PRINT, FILE in Quote Track or Quote Check. This is defaulted, by Prodigy, to QUOTES.TXT in the directory where the Prodigy program resides. For ease of use (less typing), I recommend you stick with that file name and location. Note: P2QW deletes the ProdigyFile at the beginning of execution to avoid a problem found on some 80286's. If you use both Quote Tracks or want multiple quotes from Quote Check, simply print all of the quotes during a single signon into Prodigy. QuickenProgram - This is the fully qualified name of your Quicken program. If you are using Quicken for Windows, this is usually C:\QUICKENW\QW.EXE. If you are using Quicken 5.0, this is usually C:\QUICKEN5\Q.PIF. QuickenFile - This is the fully qualified name of the file which you want to use for the Quicken format of the quotes. I use the name Q on a RAM drive since it is easy to type and remember. I use the RAM drive since I only need the file until I have imported the prices. This program can be found on Compuserve in the IBM Communications Forum as P2QW31A.ZIP. It can also be found on the AAII BBS at 312-280-8565 in the New Uploads directory as P2QW31A.EXE.
