DARKLANDS (TM) Program and Audiovisual copyright 1992 MicroProse Software 컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴� UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS This updates version 483.05 or 483.051 to version 483.06 These files are designed to update Darklands AFTER it has been installed. If your current version has a DARKLAND.EXE file of date 8/31/92 or earlier, this update will greatly improve your software. You need about 2.5 MB of free hard disk space to perform this update. To update, first copy all these files into your MPS\DARKLAND subdirectory (or whatever subdirectory you selected for the game during the original install). Next type UPDATE and tap the ENTER key. The updating process may take quite some time (possibly even one hour or more), depending on the speed of your machine, its configuration (EMS and disk caches help). The computer can perform the update unattended (i.e., you don't have to stay and watch it!). The update program automatically examines each of your DARKLANDS files for any changes, additions or deletions and makes them on these files directly. When finished, you can delete the files UPDATE.EXE and PATCH.RTP, which will free about 800 KB of hard disk space. Now your files EXACTLY match the files of version 483.06, as if you'd just installed them from the distribution disks. 컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴컴� WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 483.06 This version has a few new features added (see the new README.TXT). It also fixes various machine compatibility problems and other bugs found in earlier versions. Finally, it includes new and/or revised artwork for certain areas of the game. The new version allows scrolling through the saved game list with the keyboard arrow keys. It also allows loading the game from within the game (two greatly desired features). See the new README.TXT for details. In general, saved games from the previous version will work fine in this new version. A few minor problems from old quests may remain, but these do not significantly affect the game.
