Scenery file for the Microsoft flight simulator 4.0 + designer (IBM version) LFGP (version 9.2.1992) INTRODUCTION This set of files was created for flight simulator fans who want to fly around in the St Florentin area. The zip file includes three files which should be stored in the flight simulator directory. These are: lfgp.mod - The mode file containing a complete set-up for St Florentin. lfgp.sc1 - the scenery file for St Florentin. lfgp.dy1 - the dynamic scenery belonging to this set of files. I developed these on a Highscreen -AT 386 SX with 5MB Memory. This is about the minimum configuration recommended for the use of the Microsoft flight simulator(R). LOADING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unzip the files using PKUNZIP and store the above mentioned files in the directory where your copy of the flight simulator resides. 2. Start the flight simulator and select the european scenery (using ctrl-E). 3. Go into the mode library and select mode "LFGP". After returning to normal flight (space-bar) you will find yourself on a typical french aerodr“me about 120 miles south-east of Paris in the Chablis area. This airfield is famous for the gliding camps held there every year by various glider clubs. Several gliders are making winch starts. The standard thermal near Cheu can be used to gain some altitude, as well as the smaller standard thermal in the gliding circuit area near the river. Notice that not every glider makes it across the trees in front of the runway. SCENERY DETAILS Following details can be found on this scenery: The airfield LFGP St. Florentin The river Armacon NAV AIDS: none DYNAMIC OBJECTS Gliders making winch starts, soaring around and landing again. A Cessna making a touch and go. A F14 making a pass over the field. These scenery files may be used freely. I presume that everybody using this file has a legal copy of the magnificent microsoft flight simulator. I am very interested in suggestions to improve this model. COPYRIGHTS These scenery files are public domain. Anybody may use, distribute and copy them on a non commercial basis freely. No liability for the use of these scenery files is accepted whatsoever.
