The LINKSMAN Golf Club of Mobile, Alabama 3700 St. Andrews Dr. Mobile, Al 36693 205-661-0018 The Linksman Golf Club, designed and constructed by Ralph Sharpe in 1974, has been under the Edwin T. Watts "umbrella" since they purchased this fine facility in 1988. The Linksman has gone by many names; Riviere du Chien, Cypress Creek, and St. Andrews. With Edwin Watts, however, comes the stability of a very successful organization, committed to making this course one of the best in the Gulf Coast area. This exciting layout is a challenge to golfers of all abilities. Water is the predominate feature, coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes. The "wet stuff" is strategically located, so as to take the power out of your game and put the pin-point accuracy in. The signature hole at The Linksman is the par-5 18th. hole. Number 18 is a thrill-a-minute beauty which invites an eagle try if the golfer perfectly places his tee shot. If you cut the dogleg-left, 409 yard hole, at just the right spot, a short second shot--over water-- is in order. Hit the tee-ball too far right, and your wet!!
