LAST REPORT (PCLOTTO.REP) is on the file and can be accessed, printed or Exported to another file/disk. MENU #1 WINNING NUMBERS - work with them, enter a new draw, remove a draw, look at results, total of the draw, average, numbers which were repeated from the previous draw, ODD/EVEN ratio. GET ANOTHER LOTTO - load in memory another lotto file, replace the current one. START A NEW LOTTO File - Enter a newly created lotto into a system Lotto is added to the disk. LOTTO SCREEN - All information about Groups, END NUMBERS, average total for a draw or for several of them DEFAULT SETUP - change the settings for this lotto file, for the program and set the Prize Table for your lotto REPEATING SETS - What is the best set of 2 numbers? 4 numbers? Some numbers are coming together more often then others PERFORMANCE OF A SET - find out more about a set of numbers e.i. (03,14,21) Tells you the dates when was this set drawn LAST REPORT is kept on file and can be viewed or printed THE BEST PARTNERS - e.i. What are the best friends of number <13>? HISTORY MODE - Tell computer to forget the last draw (but keep it!) PRINT MAIN FILE of winning numbers. MENU #2 REPORTS HOT/COLD NUMBERS - The most important information. How many times was the number 22 drawn in the last 50 draws? How many times was drawn in the last 10 draws? SKIPPING HABIT - Some numbers have a habit to disappear for a while and then come back. Can you find some repeating of this habit? Is it a "good time" to play the number 25 after it was "missed" 5 times in a row? How many times did it happen that number 22 was drawn one time after another without skipping? POSITION DRAWN - Some players are using this report extensively. There is a catch. You have to enter all the numbers in an order "AS DRAWN" from the drum. Not every Lotto system is reporting numbers in this order. Most of the time you receive the numbers "sorted" and in this case POSITION DRAWN report is inaccurate. WAIT FOR HIT - convenient way of recording your winning numbers on a chart. It was always done this way even before computer age. LAST REPORT - is stored on the disk and you can see it again or get a printout on your printer. It is in ASCII file (text file) under the name PCLOTTO.REP. Each new report is overwriting the file with a new information. POPULARITY TABLE - The least understood report of them all. Look at the numbers as they come to a top and fall down again. Try to predict the way the numbers are going. HISTORY MODE - e.i. Go "back" and remove 10 last draws from memory MENU #3 TICKETS AND WHEELING SELECT A TICKET FILE - All the tickets are stored on the disk in a subdirectory "T", nowhere else the program can find them. Files are in a binary form with an identification record attached to it. Once the file is loaded into the memory we can test it with winning numbers to find out about prizes. CREATE A TICKET FILE - One way of creating a file with tickets. All the tickets are typed in manually using FULL PAGE editor. MODIFY A TICKET FILE - Edit information in a ticket file, change dates, turn AUTOTEST flag on, change numbers on tickets, print the file, change the Description (sort order on a Pick List) AUTOTEST of Ticket Files - very fast way to find out about winnings on multiple Ticket Files. All files which are "set" are reported at the same time for the draw dates preset for each file. Only files with the same ID number as the current lotto are considered. WHEELING TABLES - the most important tool for playing for winning. Choose one file, supply your numbers and "wheel them" (combine them) on a number of tickets required by each Wheeling Table. ENTER NEW WHEELING TABLE - Our software comes with over 40 different wheeling systems. There are many books on the market with many more wheeling tables and you are welcome to add them on to your collection. This is not for creating a Ticket File! FIRST PRIZE WHEELING - All possible combination of 5 number and 6 number lotto only! The First Prize guaranteed - but watch the price! HISTORY MODE - Go back several draws and pretend they did not happen. Get "old reports". REMOVE FILES - Files not wanted can be erased from the disk. Be careful, they are gone for good! Erase "old" files with tickets, erase Lotto databases you will never play or update. Keep in the subdirectory only the wheeling tables you are using and store the rest on a floppy disk in your file cabinet. Better be sure then sorry - make a backup first. LAST REPORT All the reports are made on the disk as a Text (ASCII) file first. The name of the file is: PCLOTTO.REP You can call the file back for viewing or for printing. There is a choice to copy the file into another with a different name. PCLOTTO.REP can be brought into wordprocessing program or into database or a spreadsheet program because there are no special embedded codes and any ASCII import utility program can "read" it. When a new report is created, this file is overwritten. Copy Report to anther file: Main Menu - press L, D and enter the new filename (PATH included e.i A:\Report1.TXT) MENU #4 PC-LOTTO QUICKPICK enables you to select numbers for tickets from different sources. Use random numbers, Hot numbers, Cold numbers, set of your custom numbers, a fixed numbers on each ticket, avoid some numbers and combination of the above. Tickets are stored on the disk to be referenced later. MENU #5 PC-LOTTOprint module is included with each PC-LOTTOpro program. TRANSFER TICKET FILE TO BET SLIPS using your printer. Get ready several Bet Slips and choose a Ticket File to work with. For the Shareware Version the first 10 tickets will be printed. REMOVE FILES - Erase files not wanted on the disk. (Old Ticket Files, unwanted Lotto Files etc) PRINTER TEST - Use whenever you need to make adjustments to the setup. (e.i. change spacing between lines, find out where the printer starts printing the first BOX) Test printer again after the adjustment is done to see results SETUP - Change the printer group, LPT1 or LPT3, adjust spacing, set margin, print one or two Bet Slips at the time. DRIVERS for Bet Slip printing are making sure that the number distribution on the ticket is matched with the Lotto Form. The name of a driver is displayed on the first line at the top of the screen along with Memory Available figure. This Driver is being remembered as a default and recorded in PCL.DEF file. You will be asked to save the changes or not when quitting PC-LOTTOprint module. HELP on Help F1 = Help, CLICK LEFT+RIGHT = Help, F1 F1 = Help Index, Help file is kept on the disk in compressed form under the filename PCL.HLP. If you learn to use "Context-Sensitive Help" then there is no need to read the manual ever. HOT SPOT is in left upper corner of HELP window. CLICK-LEFT on it with the MOUSE cursor and it brings previous TOPIC back. DEFAULT SETUP CURRENT LOTTO SETUP e.i. California Lotto has changed from 6/53 to 6/51. Main Menu - press W, D, C and change Max. Number to 51. You can keep the old data file. Just enter the new draw numbers as they come. PROGRAM SETUP Some lotteries allow you to play 6 numbers and they draw 8 numbers. NUMBERS PLAYED on a ticket. It is 6 in most cases. Some lotto have just 5 numbers played on a ticket. BONUS number is not available in every lotto. Some systems have 2 or 3 bonus numbers. PRIZES AVAILABLE - many reports are reporting prizes and here you can specify if there is a prize to be paid on 3 number match or how is the BONUS number involved in getting a prize for you. Choices are a single "toggle" switch when chosen. Do not forget to save the changes before leaving this menu. You can edit the name of a lotto. Time to time the Lotto changes and all the sudden they draw from 53 numbers instead of 49 numbers. In case they start drawing 5 numbers instead of 6 then you have to START A NEW LOTTO file. PC-LOTTO can not mix 5 and 6 number Lotto under one system. Do not forget to set the days of the week when the numbers are drawn. This information is used by program to provide a date for the next draw when you enter the new WINNING NUMBERS. If the next draw date is not supplied properly then this is the problem. Information about WINNINGS is used for the report about tickets and prizes. If your lotto is not paying a prize for 3 numbers then do not set this line and the prizes are not reported. If your lotto is paying a prize for not getting even one number then set it also and the tickets which do not have any winning number on them will report this "prize". Avoid "dead cold" numbers, it means any number which was missed more then 15-20 times in a row. Use first numbers from Hot numbers. They are Hot because they are drawn quite often. (e.i. Select first 6 from Hot and 6 from middle of the Hot Report) 6) The numbers will be combined on tickets and you can set the dates when to play. The Tickets are recorded in the file with extension "._T_" and placed in subdirectory "T" (stands for Tickets) The file with tickets can be altered, printed, erased, set for Auto Check, transferred to Bet Slips and compared with winning numbers 7) Use PC-LOTTOprint to fill out the bet slips. You can download Zip program from our BBS just as well. - Need more help? Try book "Dvorak's Guide to PC Telecommunications" by John C. Dvorak and Nick Anis. It even includes a disk with decompressing program and a communication program. FILE SECTION Files with all Lotto databases available PC-LOTTOprint Drivers, Second Party Programs, Utility Programs and much more EXPORT How to export PC-LOTTO reports to some other programs? Main Menu - press L, D Every report is entered on a disk to the file PCLOTTO.REP Before you run another report, copy this file to another file with a different filename. It is an ASCII (or TEXT) file and it can be used by any wordprocessing program or read by most database and spread sheet programs. How to export PC-LOTTO files with tickets? A text file with tickets is made first (identical filename, extension is .TXT) in subdirectory T\. This file is preserved when you set the flag on Ticket Entry Screen to Keep as a Text File = [Y]. Find this file and use it elsewhere after you leave the program PC-LOTTO IMPORT Import a Wheeling Table from some other software. EXAMPLE: You have a system to wheel 20 numbers on 50 tickets.(5 number LOTTO). Fire up the software, select this wheeling table and then enter numbers from 1 to 20 in consequent order. This is the main secret, start with number ONE and do not skip any number! If you are wheeling twenty numbers you must not enter number bigger then 20 while creating the Wheeling Table. Do not mix up creating with using. Get a printout of all 50 tickets. Main Menu - press T, E and enter new wheel into PC-LOTTO system. Once the Wheeling Table is finished and on the disk you can use it and enter any numbers you want in any order you choose. 5 number wheeling has to be entered using any 5 number LOTTO. You can not create 5 number Wheeling Table using 6 number LOTTO system. Import a file with tickets from dBase, FoxBase, LOTUS. It has to be a text (ASCII) file with 1 ,2 or 3 tickets per line, no other characters on the line. 6-number lotto example: (3 tickets dBaseFi.TXT) 01 03 13 24 26 36 34 35 23 01 03 27 3 12 8 18 1 45 Place this file in subdirectory T\ and CREATE TICKET FILE. Main Menu - press T, C PC-LOTTOprint PC-LOTTOpro ver.3.00 + is combining our two programs into one. We are still selling each of them separate. There is a good reason. Not everybody needs a Bet Slip Printing program and not everybody is willing to pay for it. There are also some printers, which are not suitable for printing Bet Slips (Laser, daisy wheel and few others). Even if you did not pay for PC-LOTTOprint module, it is included in a DEMO FORM. You are able to test your printer and find out, if it is compatible with the program. First batch of tickets can be printed from any Ticket File as a test. If you find the program useful then order PC-LOTTOprint registered version from The Lottery Exchange. Have you ever tried to fill out 200 LOTTO tickets? What about 50 of them? How many mistakes did you make? Was there a ticket with seven numbers and another with just four numbers? How many times did you duplicate one ticket and missed the next one? Have you checked every single ticket to make sure the proper numbers were entered? After all this was done have you found that every third ticket is not accepted by the official computer scanner? PC-LOTTOprint program can help you to fill official Bet Slips The speed depends on your printer and on your ability to load and lineup the forms, usually 120 tickets in 8 to 10 minutes. No mistake to be made and FORMS which were not inserted properly are reprinted again and again till perfect. Official BET SLIPS are not made for computer printing yet. We hope that in the future you will be able to get them on tractor feed paper. To be able to print current form on a printer we have to fulfil certain requirements. BET SLIP PRINTING 1) Printer has to have reference points in order to load the Bet Slip exactly on the same spot each time the form is printed. (Tear Bar or Paper Bail with handmade markers). Printer has to be in a top working condition. Use a new ribbon which does not leave marks on paper. 3) Adjust the Multiple Copy Lever for bigger gap between the printing head and the platen. 4) Clean the platen with rubbing alcohol. If the surface of platen is hard and shiny then get it resurfaced by a technician. 5) Paper Feed Pressure Rollers have to be clean and the tension adjusted properly according to specification. (to prevent sidetracking) 6) Set up Dip Switches for IBM emulation on some printers. (Tandy..) Disable the Paper Sensor in order to print the bottom ticket on the Bet Slip. Consult your printer manual. HOW TO START - Main Menu - press B Check the Driver Name on the first line. If it is not for the lotto you want to use then change it by loading another DRIVER. (press D) BET SLIP SETUP is the next step. (press B) Set all the values, (e.i. LPT1, Roland-Epson, 2 Bet Slips . .) Insert a blank (thin) paper and make sure it is loaded properly. Make sure the Printer Ready Light is ON. Make a line on the paper where the Paper Bail or a Tear Bar is. This line is a vertical guide for inserting real BET SLIPS later. Return to the PC-LOTTOprint Menu and press

for PRINTER TEST. Printer is supposed to print little squares and duplicate a pattern of the grid of official LOTTO FORM. One grid is printed on left side of the paper and one grid on the right side. Tickets are printed down on each side. In case of getting continuous line with no squares turn the printer off and go back to SETUP to select next choice for printers. Do not remove the paper yet. Make visible marks on the Tear Bar or the Paper Bail at the precise spot where the very first column is printed on LEFT ticket and the same mark for the first square on the right ticket. You have to be able to insert the BET SLIP to this position so that the first square covers the first window of the first ticket. The marks (do not make them permanent!) are made and you can remove the paper. Use a blank official LOTTO FORM and put the paper over it. Look against a strong light to see if all squares are exactly covering the windows of each ticket on the form. BET SLIP ADJUSTMENT is done in three steps. Pick up this TOPIC for instruction. Printer Test Main Menu - press B, P Load the printer with plain paper. The printer is tested for BET SLIP PRINTING. Make sure the driver is loaded for the Lotto you want to use. Get ready several Bet Slips (Official Lotto Forms) and compare them with the printout. If there are differences go to Bet Slip Adjustment. After adjusting the spacing on the Bet Slip run the test again. The final test should be done on Bet Slips to see if each window on the slip is covered by the printer. When finished you are ready to Transfer Tickets to Bet Slips Bet Slip Setup PRINTER PORT - toggle between LPT1, LPT2, LPT3 (see DOS manual) SELECT PRINTER - toggle between several groups of printers. Big majority of printers work with Roland, Epson, Star group. MARGIN is the distance of the first BOX on the paper from the Left and Right end of the platen. You can change this from 0 to 50. There is 99% chance you do not have to touch it. BET SLIPS LOADED - choose between 1 or 2. Set it to 2, it is faster. TICKETS PRINTED VERTICALLY - change only if you have trouble printing the bottom ticket(s) on a Bet Slip. (Paper Sensor can not be disabled) LINE ON A TICKET ADJUSTMENT - by 1/216" increment. Change the spacing of horizontal lines between boxes with numbers on a Bet Slip SPACE BETWEEN TICKETS ADJUSTMENT - e.i. There are 5 tickets printed on a Bet Slip. Change the spacing between Ticket 1 and ticket 2. This is again only horizontal adjustment. Spacing between 2 tickets on the same line is not user adjustable. BET SLIP DRIVER DRIVER is a record with information needed to match the official Bet Slip with the distribution of numbers by the program. We have already a big collection of Bet Slips from all over the world. FILES with Drivers have extension ._R_ and are stored in subdirectory R\ on your hard drive. NEW DRIVERS are being made by Lottoware whenever there are changes in Lotto (6/53 to 6/51) or players send us some Bet Slips not supported yet. Drivers are kept on our BBS in a special directory. TEST THE DRIVER before using it! Make sure the Bet Slip is not loaded Upside down. (It happened!) Make a TEST FILE with tickets (e.i. 01 02 03 04 05 06) and compare printed Bet Slip with a file printout. Some lotto has several drivers and you should pick up the one which works for you the best. YOUR LOTTO DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVER listed on the Pick List Screen. Send us several BET SLIPS plus $10 and the new driver will be shipped to you. There are very few lotto systems which we can not support. (e.i. Virginia Lotto) Bet Slip Adjustment MAKE PRINTER TEST AND ADJUST IN THREE STEPS STEP # 1 First ticket (at the top) has to match with the grid of the form. LINES ON THE FIRST TICKET ARE TOO FAR APART FOR A MATCH. Go to the PC-LOTTOprint Menu, press for and for Line adjustment. The Line Gap is adjusted by pressing <-> for Minus. Each unit is approximately 1/216 inch. Make a note of a CORRECTION FACTOR and repeat the test on the printer with blank paper. If the lines are too close together then make correction by pressing <+> for Plus. Repeat the Printer Test till you get a perfect match of the FIRST TICKET. Disregard the rest for now. STEP # 2 Adjust the gap between the first (top) ticket and the second ticket on the paper. Go to the Menu and to SETUP. Press . Now you can adjust the space between the first and second ticket by pressing <-> for minus or <+> for plus correction. Repeat the Printer Test till the first and the second ticket is matching the grid of LOTTO FORM. The chances are you do not need any correction. Repeat the step # 2 for the space between other tickets till you get a perfect match with the LOTTO FORM all the way down. Make a note of all Correction Factors. (Somebody can be mess them up) They should stay the same for your printer and there is no need the repeat this setup procedure ever again. STEP # 3 You have a grid of all tickets printed on a blank paper and they all match exactly with the official BET SLIP. Now we know that your printer is able to print the tickets providing the forms are loaded properly to the same spot each time. Insert real LOTTO FORMS in the printer. Use the marks to position the FORM horizontally and use the Tear Bar or Paper Bail to position it vertically. You can make little marks (lines) on the FORM with red pencil. It takes some practising to load both FORMs in the right spot, straighten them and get the grid printed exactly to cover up each window on the FORM. Some additional corrections may be necessary because of paper difference. Good idea is to attach a cutout of a line of squares (printer test) to paper bail or just bellow the platen Lining up of real tickets is then easier. TICKETS TO BET SLIPS (Main Menu - press B, T) Select the file with tickets to transfer to Bet Slips. Use ARROW KEYS, PgUp/PgDown or SCROLL BAR if you have a mouse. PRINTING STATUS SCREEN is telling you: How many tickets are in the file (DEMO shows up to 2 Bet Slips) How many Bet Slips are needed to print the file Maximum of tickets to be printed on each Bet Slip. (adjustable in Setup) Tickets already printed Tickets left to be printed Ticket numbers to be printed on Left and Right Bet Slip. Make a note on the form which tickets are there (for later reference). If you print 1000 tickets and 50 of them have prizes then you know which ones. Reports are telling you what ticket number has a prize. OK Control to be pressed when the Bet Slips and the printer ready SKIP Control would bypass this load of tickets. The next batch would be loaded. This comes handy when you need to reprint a batch of tickets in the middle of the file. CANCEL control returns you to the Menu Use TAB to move between Controls. If you press the highlighted Control is activated TICKETS FROM THE DISK. Previously stored tickets can be loaded and printed. The program is interfaced with PC-LOTTO where you can use wheeling tables or PC-LOTTO QuickPick (from Hot, Cold..) to produce the tickets. Tickets can be checked with winning numbers to see if any prize was won. PC-LOTTO is a LOTTOprocessing program. ShareWare version is available from most PC-CLUBS, ShareWare Houses or Bulletin Boards. BET SLIP PROBLEMS The bottom tickets do not finish printing. Your Paper Sensor is not disabled and when the paper runs out the printer shuts off. It is done on most printers automatically by a software command from the program. If your printer "does not listen" then the next step would be to visit the Printer Manual and to disable the sensor using the "dip switches" or some set of commands from the "printer menu". In case the Paper Sensor can not be disabled then the alternative route is to avoid printing of the last (bottom) ticket by adjusting the 62Bet Slip Printing Setup, Tickets Printed Vertically (press B, T from PC-LOTTOprint menu) to one less ticket. If your lotto Bet Slip has two tickets on the horizontal line then you are loosing both of them. We do not see any other reason why you should change this adjustment. Bet Slips are miss tracking, erratic paper advance. REASON: a) Your platen is "glossy" and does not grab the paper as it should. Try cleaning it with Isopropanol (99%) available from your Drug store. If it does not help then get your printer serviced by a technician. REASON: b) The feed rollers are not feeding the Bet Slips properly. You can not change the position of feed rollers but you can change the position of the Bet Slips using Margin adjustment. (Press B, M from PC-LOTTOprint menu) The printed grid does not match the Bet Slip windows Check if the Bet Slips are the same as the last time. We experienced a difference between forms from store to store. Stock enough Bet Slips from the same printing batch. They DO CHANGE and adjustment is necessary when the size or spacing is changed. We provided much wider range of adjustment then you ever need.
