          Windows  network utility lets you harness the power of Artisoft's
          award-winning  DOS-based LANtastic Network Operating System  from
          within  Microsoft Windows  simple, elegant framework of pull-down
          menus, icons and on-line help.

          When used in  conjunction with LANtastic  NOS 4.0, the  LANtastic
          for Windows   utility runs as a Microsoft  Windows application in
          standard or  enhanced modes. So you can  use all of the LANtastic
          network  features  without exiting Windows. Open multiple windows
          to  handle several  different  tasks--monitor printer  queues and
          chat with multiple users - all at the same time. Pull  down menus
          to create and maintain shared resources like drives, printers and
          other peripherals. Click, drag and drop network resource icons to
          assign  them. Then, save the configuration you've created and run
          the LANtastic for Windows utility in the background while running
          other Windows application. 

          Even  e-mail is  better with the  LANtastic for  Windows utility.
          Just  pop open your  incoming-mail window to know immediately how
          many new text and voice messages you've received. 

          But that's  not all. Because  this utility supports  Dynamic Data
          Exchange  (DDE), Windows applications can use LANtastic e-mail to
          exchange  messages  and  transfer  data.  So  you  can  create  a
          spreadsheet in Excel and mail it to a remote user without leaving
          the  application.  Or   use  Word  for  Windows or  even  Windows
          Paintbrush to create  mail messages. And all the  receiver has to
          do is double-click on the mail item in the Queues window, and the
          file  will open  in the  application in  which it  was originally
          created.  

          The  LANtastic  for  Windows  network  utility  is  a  separately
          purchased  product that requires LANtastic  NOS 4.0 or above, and
          Windows 3.0 or above.
