Due to enhancement of the programs, the entire Amortization takes more than 360k of disk space. To fit into a 360k floppy diskette, the files were shipped compressed. If you do not have a hard disk, a 1.2Mb floppy drive, a 720K or 1.44Mb floppy drive, the programs will not run. A hard disk is highly recommended. Before running the programs, you have to un-compress the files by following the procedures below. FOR 1.2Mb FLOPPY DRIVE, 720K OR 1.44Mb FLOPPY DRIVE: ==================================================== 1. Copy all the files from the original diskette to your floppy diskette (1.2Mb or 720k or 1.44Mb). DO NOT USE DISKCOPY. 2. Insert your backup copy diskette in DRIVE A. 3. Type AMORT400 and press the ENTER key. The files will be un-compressed. 4. If the process is successful, you can delete the file AMORT400.EXE. This will give you more space. 5. To start the program, type DEMO and press the ENTER key. The program will take you to the MENU where you can select Mortgage or Loan calculations. FOR HARD DISK: ============== 1. Copy the file AMORT400.EXE from the original diskette to the directory of your hard disk where you want the Amortizer to be installed. 2. Type AMORT400 and press the ENTER key. The files will be un-compressed. Make sure you are on the right directory. 3. If the process is successful, you can delete the file AMORT400.EXE. This will give you more space. 4. To start the program, type DEMO and press the ENTER key. The program will take you to the MENU where you can select Mortgage or Loan calculations. Metropolitan Information Systems Mar. 19, 1992
