NEW YORK: March 20, 1992.  The Document Image Development Corp. (DIDC)
today announced the immediate availability of its new Visage LITE
product for document image management.

Visage LITE is targeted at developers of small to medium sized document
image processing applications.  The product has been designed to work
with many popular desktop page scanners and does not require the use of
any special document processor add-in board.  Because of this feature,
developers can inexpensively prototype document image processing systems
using scanners from such manufacturers as Hewlett-Packard, Microtek,
Epson, Sharp, DataCopy and others.

Visage LITE maintains all the features and functionality of DIDC's
Visage Professional 3.0.  Thus, any application created with one product
is 100% compatible with the other.  All image and data produced by
either product is also 100% compatible.  Visage LITE includes the
following features:

        ù automatic creation of image database

        ù linking scanned images to calling application data keys

        ù adding, deleting and replacing scanned images

        ù printing single images, range of pages or entire document
          on HP LaserJet or compatible

        ù viewing images in next, previous, goto page modes

        ù display to standard VGA or dual page monitors. Pan, zoom,
          rotate displayed image

        ù images stored as bi-level TIFF files using CCITT
          Group 4 compression

        . staged storage of images for faster input

        ù single file image library for faster retrieval

Visage LITE is a TSR which loads to EMS or a disk swapfile. It may be
accessed by a linked function call, the 'RUN' command or through a hot
key without any programming interface.  The system runs under DOS 3.0 or
higher. Best performance is obtained using a 386 or better CPU, 4 MB of
system memory and a disk cache.

Visage LITE is being introduced at a price of $99.
