Castle of the Winds release point: The top directory contains the latest code. This may or may not be stable, since it's my current development exe. It also has CodeView symbols in it, so it's a few hundred K bigger. The release directories below contain pseudo-official releases. These should be pretty stable. Anything before 0.5 won't run on Win 3, and anything 0.5 or greater won't run on Win 2. In the top directory: Castle.exe : Debug Build, Asserts, Codeview symbols Castle.hlp : Winhelp help file interm.txt : Changes since last major build. Castlemm.dll : Multi-media support for castle (only used if a soundblaster card and the MM extensions to Windows are present). In the release directory: Castle.exe : Debug Build, Asserts but no Codeview symbols Castle.hlp : Winhelp help file Castlecv.exe : Debug Build, including Codeview symbols (big) Castler.exe : Full Retail Build: No Asserts, No symbols. Castle05.txt : release notes from release 0.5 In general, I'd prefer if people ran Castle.exe , so they can report asserts. It's only about 40K bigger and not much slower. Castlecv.exe is basically for debugging only. rick
