HERALD2 Mahjongg Tile Set by K.C. Hart I've had this program about a week, and I'm addicted! Having a degree in graphic design, I was even more excited to discover that I would be able to design my own tile sets. I have seen some very nice heraldry tiles and, having an interest in heraldry myself, thought it would be a nice easy subject to learn the Tilemaker on. However, there really is nothing very "authentic" about the set I've designed. As you can see, on the first 3 I've taken "a fesse embattled" in three colors -- blue(azure), red(gules), and green(vert) -- and then added a moon and sun on tiles 4-9. The "dragons" feature a chevron between 3 billets (I won't even attempt the jargon here!), again on blue, red and green. The second suit divides the shield "per pale" in the three colors, and then adds (again) the sun and the moon. The third features a chevron alone, then with just a moon or just a sun. The winds suit is represented here as phases of the moon: new, quarter, half, and full. The wildcards are the seasons and four shields with the "chequey" pattern. I loved putting together this set, and I hope that they are challenging and enjoyable for you as well. Let me know what you think! Thanks, K.C. K.C. Hart Mather AFB Sacramento, CA January 9, 1991
