Mah Jongg Tile Set Description Tile Set Name: TAROT.TIL Subject: Tarot card designs Created by: Margaret Stump Description: The Tarot tile set loosely follows the design elements in a deck of Tarot cards, also know as fortune telling cards. There are four suites in a Tarot deck--coins, cups, swords and rods. I have included 1 through 9 of three of the suites, the coins, cups, and swords. Tiles 10, 20 and 30 are the elements that those suites represent--fire, water and air. Tarot cards also include a King, Queen, Knight and Page of each suite. Because of my inability to render these images in pixels, they are represented by the four crowned castles. The other set of wild cards, the trees showing the seasons, come from the SEASONS tile set by Ten. There is no point in messing with perfection. In addition to the four suites, tarot card decks include 22 extra cards called the major arcana. These represent many of our common images or archetypes. I have included tiles representing the sun, moon, star and earth to represent the major arcana. The Tarot Tile set is intended to be used by anyone who would enjoy doing so. I hope you get as much fun out of playing with it as I have out of making it. I would love to hear from anyone who has used it or has a tile set or an idea of their own to share.
