SFEXMNU.ZIP By: Favors~ "Push Button" Look Menu's for SFEXTEND, (C) 91, 92 Written By: Dave Stahl for Spitfire Ver 3.2 Bulletin Board Systems (C) 87-92 Written By: Mike Woltz These menu's were drawn for use with the SFEXTEND.EXE written by Dave Dave Stahl. They include the "!". "*", Q and G commands, plus room for 5 doors. They are saved using 0 speed, 70 line length, clear screen. The are not animated and can be edited to your liking. They look sharp! So, just pop em in The Draw and edit them for the doors you have on your system. Be sure not to change their placement on your screen. They are set to the far left hand side and give the "Windows" look to your Extension menus and set nicely on your users screen. I have found that users like a "solid" looking menu, but nothing that takes more than 5 seconds to draw at 2400 Baud. These are attractive since Dave Stahl, that programming genius, has Extended Spitfire and made Spitfire "solid", as far as the Extension menuing system. (Not saying Spitfire isn't a piece of solid code. Spitfire IS Solid!) If you are still using SFMNUEXT.EXE, where ya been? Get a Copy of Dave Stalh's SFEXTEND.EXE and extend Spitfire. When was the last time you saw some Docs on a few ansi screens, huh? I love to draw ansi and have designated Favors~ (Spitfire 3.2) BBS as Indiana's Ansi Art Headquarters. Favors~ BBS is home of the Ansi Artist's Club, a full featured Sub-Board running under Favors~. I presenty have 12 megs of Ansi I have collected plus about 4 megs of my own not included. They are all available for capture, but a $5.00 donations is required before access is allowed. This is cheap! I charge $20. for membership to this club and the club members in turn work for Favors~ in a form of contests. I'll stop right there. I am collecting Ansi from EVERYWHERE and your "personally drawn" Ansi Screens for your BBS are welcome on my hard drive. Just zip em' up and distribute them around and I'll eventually get them. If you have money to burn you can call my 2400 V42 and upload them. I'll do a full set of menu's for your Spitfire BBS that will reflect your boards image, or present an image for you. When I get finished with the Graveyard BBS's screens, I'll upload them to Buffalo Creek and give you an idea of my creative talents. No modesty here. I know drawing this stuff is a pain, so for a $20. donation, you get access to the Ansi Art Club and a full set of menu's for your board. This will include these menus: WELCOME1.CLR/BBS GOODBYE.CLR/BBS MAIN0.CLR/BBS FILE0.CLR/BBS MSG0.CLR/BBS BULLETIN.CLR/BBS SFORD0.CLR/BBS SFDR0.CLR/BBS SFDORBUL.CLR/BBS MNEXT0.CLR/BBS ----->If your using SFEXTEND.EXE MSEXT0.CLR/BBS | FEXT0.CLR/BBS | DREXT0.CLR/BBS | If you have ever drawn your own screens and tried to do a good job, then you'll know that $20. is worth it for these screens. It's a Job that takes some serious time behind the ole keyboard, plus some artistic and creative insight and familiarity with The Draw. Just look at it this way. "If I pay this guy 20 bucks, I will have some super nice menus and I won't have to mess with them." Favors~ BBS is a Multi-Node Spitfire BBS in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are running Circuit Net and ofcourse echo the Ansi Conference there. At the date of this document, I am not a RIME Member (No slots yet) but will echo RIME, Intelec and FidoNet Ansi Conferences. Look for me there. I actually echo Circuit Net from a sub-board with no problems. Same will be done for the other Net echos. Favors~ is running four "complete" versions of Spitfire under the Main BBS (and each of them have menu's too). I have well over 60 doors running on my system and I echo mail from my Suboards also. I don't call it "An On-Line Wonderland" for nothing. It's a "wonder" I can keep track of it all. That's enough about my board. I don't have time to go into all the other things that make Favors~ special to it's users, but if you would like a better image, different image, or colorful image, drop me a note on Circuit Net or call. Richard Friestad Sysop of Favors~ 1-317-786-3846 Last I heard, Prohill Art was out of business. I take it they still are. I would like to continue on with their efforts. I'll be putting out some Ansi screens from time to time for use on Spitfire BBS's. Look for them. I always mark my file names with the "~" character. I will upload them to Buffalo Creek for everyone to use. Favors~ is glad to be a part of the Spitfire family.
