Brian MacInnes's Rename Utility I wrote this program because I wanted a program that allowed me to enter the arguments from the command line or would prompt me for file names. Hint: When you are prompted for a file name that file name is stored in a character string in memory so when you are prompted for the output file name press the key and the previously entered character string is displayed. This is especially useful when you are only slightly changing the name of a file. RNAME can be used in two ways: 1. In the command line. EXAMPLE ------- RNAME OLDFILE NEWFILE OLDFILE is now NEWFILE RNAME will prompt you for file names if you do not specify them on the command line. EXAMPLE ------- RNAME Type the old file name: OLDFILE Type the new file name: NEWFILE OLDFILE is now NEWFILE RNAME is ShareWare. Not public domain or freeware. This means if you use it you must register it according to law. In order for the concept of shareware to work you must register programs. Registration is a reasonable $5.00 US. Upon registration you will be mailed an registered copy of the RNAME program and a registered update when available. Send all Registration Fee's and Comments to: BRIAN MACINNES 1817 PALM PLACE DRV PALM BAY, FL 32905 ** Please send checks ,NO cash. Give me your mailing address and specify if you want 3« inch or 5¬ inch floppies. Don't ask for 3« inch if you don't need that kind because they are rather expensive.
