The azaleas and the tall birch tree are Lee's also. Mark Willett - Mark is responsible for placing the Chesapeake on the background and also playtested the course and gave several comments that helped improve the course. Jim Leiss - The head playtester who goes through and complains until the fixes for several unintentional, unfair areas are made. The Course Aberdeen Country Club is set upon the rolling shoreline of the upper Chesapeake Bay. The course rolls up and down the hills and plays around several inlets and falls (or creeks). This course is set along side the Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds, which gives the course its nickname, the proving grounds, as I have tried to create a course which requires thinking off the tee and accurate shotmaking. The course is set up with deep rough fairly close to all the fairways and that places a premium on driving accuracy. If you do not hit the fairways, you will have a tough time scoring. The greens are fairly flat, but they all have several bumps that can come into play. Checking out the greens overhead before hitting the approach is a good idea, until you get familier with the course. One note about local lingo, Falls are what creeks are called in this part of the country. I welcome feedback of any kind on this or any of the courses I've put out there. I do ask that you be specific - telling me that a hole (or even an entire course) sucks doesn't help much unless you specify how it sucks.
