Changes in final beneficiaries, the shares each will receive, successor trustees, or the age of distribution are examples of revisions that might be required due to changes in your circumstances. In the case of a married couple with an A-B trust after the death of one spouse, the surviving spouse, while living and competent, may change the provisions of Trust A only. The only change that can be made to Trust B is the designation of successor trustees, and this must be done with a special document created for that purpose.
