BLACK HOLE (Unregistered) Version 3.2 by Stephen Yim [F1] - CONTROL PANEL/BLANKER Press this key while program is running will bring up the Control Panel. Icon shows what the function key does. All the commands are functional while program is running or in the Control Panel, except the sub-function keys for Picture and Sectional View will not work within the Control Panel. Press this key in Control Panel will serve as a Blanker which holds the screen and stop the timer. (BLACK HOLE Version 3.3 - will not show this Control Panel at the beginning of the program but to run.) [F2] - ONE MOVING OBJECT [F3] - TWO MOVING OBJECTS [F4] - FOUR MOVING OBJECTS Serve as starter, screen cleaner and enable you to change the number of Objects appear on the screen. Black Hole will appear if it has not been turn OFF, and background will be black. Refer to [<] Function. Program will randomize to use one of the above settings, when start or started by the built in timer. [F5] - COLOR SWITCH (Default = Multicolor) Object(s) will change color as they move along. Multicolor - All Objects will change to different colors at the same time as they move. One color - All Objects will change to a same color as they move along. The setting has no effect if using one or no Object. [F6] - STARS SWITCH (Default = ON) ON - Stars will appear on the screen continuously. OFF - No more stars, but this function will not clear the stars already existed on the screen. Use [F2], [F3] or [F4] keys to clear the screen. [F7] - CENTER Area (Default Setting) Black Holes appear at the Center of the screen. [F8] - DESIGNATED Area (Default = Randomize) Black Holes appear at the Designated point. Refer to Directional keys for Area assignment. [F9] - RANDOMIZED Area Black Holes appear anywhere by Random. [F10] - EDGE Area Black Holes appear at the Edges of the screen. (These keys will not execute a Black Hole, but to assign Area only. Refer to [CENTER] Function). [<] - DECREASE SEQUENCE The lower Sequence number, less often the Black Holes will appear (From 9 to 1). (0) Sequence means no Black Hole at all (OFF), until the Sequence Increases. [>] - INCREASE SEQUENCE The higher Sequence number, more often the Black Holes will appear (From 1 to 9). (10) Sequence means Black Holes appear continuously. Until the Sequence Decreases, Objects and Stars will be disabled even they are ON. (Default = 5 Sequence) (The Sequence numbers are used to control probabilities but not in terms of ratio or as timer. So there is no way to predict when the Black Hole will show up.) [CENTER] - Key on number pad EXECUTE a Black Hole at current Area Refer to [F7], [F8], [F9] and [F10] Functions. [END] - PICTURE SWITCH (Default = OFF) This function will create a Small Picture to view part of the screen. Black Hole will no appear at once, but according to Seqeuence setting. [PGUP] - SECTIONAL VIEW This function will turn Picture Switch (ON) and create a Larger Horizontal or Vertical Sectional View of the screen. Every press of this key, a View appears in the following order: 1. Horizontal at the Middle. 4. Vertical at the Middle. 2. Horizontal at the Top. 5. Vertical at the Left. 3. Horizontal at the Bottom. 6. Vertical at the Right. Black Hole(s) appear as line image if the centers of the Hole(s) are not inside the Picture or Sectional View. All Sectioal Views will not change the background color. When Picture Switch (OFF) [-] - DECREASE RADIUS [+] - INCREASE RADIUS These functions are growth limits for the Object(s). The higher the Radius number, the larger the object(s) can grow. (From 1 to 10). (Default = One Object - 7 Radius Two Objects - 5 Radius Four Objects - 3 Radius) When Picture Switch (ON) [-] - REDUCE [+] - ENLARGE These functions will Reduce and Enlarge the size of the Picture and Sectional View. Refer to [END] and [PGUP] Functions. [UP] [DOWN] [LEFT] [RIGHT] Directional Keys on the number pad When Picture/Sectional Switch (OFF) Use these keys to move a Pointer (White Cross) around the screen to pick a Designated Location for the Desinated Black Hole Area. Refer to [F8] Function. (Default = Center) When Picture/Sectional Switch (ON) Use these keys to move the Picture around. Note: It will be much faster for the program to move and reproduce Sectional View, if Black Hole is (OFF). If you use Reduce, Enlarge and Directional key functons on Sectional View, the program will treat the Sectional View as a Picture. [HOME] - When Picture Switch (OFF) This function will Return POINTER to center. When Picture Switch (ON) This function will Return PICTURE to center. [F] - FILE (BH33.INI) (These File Functions work with Black Hole Version 3.3 ONLY). [+] - This function will create or over-write the data file in the current directory to save current settings. Execute this function to save or change the settings as many times as you like. Program will start with the Default settings, if file (BH33.INI) has not been created or file not found (deleted). Executable only at the [F1] Control Panel. Program will resume while saving. [-] - Delete the existing (BH33.INI) file. [P] - PRINT THIS DOCUMENT Note: This text file (BH32.TXT) comes with this package is a identical documentation of this print out. Since this Print function is built in with the program, it is not necessary to keep this text file for the Print purpose. [R] - Run the program will current settings. [Q] - QUIT - Functional at any stage within the program. A Shareware message will show on screen which gives you a chance to resume or end the program.
