The Template, FONTS.DOT, contains 2 macros: FontTable (CNTL-SHIFT-F) generates a table for each font (see example below) to show the key code for each character contained in the font. For instance: To generate the Degree symbol you would press ALT-0176. To generate the character "3" you would press ALT-0051. This macro is especially useful for Symbol and Dingbat fonts.
