JOB TITLE: PROGRAMMER



REPORTS TO: INFORMATION SERVICES MANAGER



SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF JOB



Develop, document, maintain and support in-house operations and
financial application software.  Also responsible for training
company personnel and assisting in the implementation of any and
all computer-related systems.  



PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:



To provide and maintain superior program functionality, system
documentation, security and leading edge technical expertise for
on-line production and financial application systems, ensuring
maximum utilization of strategic, mission-critical information.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:



Code and modify application software according to specifications
provided by the System Analyst and Information Services Manager.
 Respond to change requests from in-house personnel and customer
representatives.



Troubleshoot problems with software solutions, providing both
personal and telephone support.



Must be able to demonstrate expert proficiency in DOS and
interpretive BASIC development platforms such as Business BASIC,
Thoroughbred BASIC and SMC BASIC.  Experience with Windows,
Excel, Word, ArcList and Paradox in a Novell Netware environment
is preferred.  Exposure to developing solutions in Visual BASIC,
Quick BASIC, C and/or SQL is also a plus.

 

Superior verbal/written communications and time management
skills are expected.  The candidate must be a resourceful
self-starter and customer-driven problem solver, with the
ability to interact with all levels of  professional contact.
