Disk Free All (DFA), 1.1 Copyright (c) Xevian Technolgy 1993. All Rights Reserved. A shareware disk space usage information program. For online help, use: DFA ? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shareware Notice: Individual Fee: $5.00 US Currency. Site Liscensing also available. Disk Free All is not free! Please use it for a trial period of 14 days, and should you decide to keep it, send the shareware fee to the address listed at the end of this document. Registration means free support via phone, e-mail, and mail, as well as prompt updates, bonus programs, and endless guilt-free, morally correct, and karmically safe usage. ;) When registering, please include a company name or personal name for registration identification. Commercial Distribution is Restricted. It may not be distributed for profit or included in any CD ROM or floppy disk based collection of software without expressed written permission. (Basically I just want to know you are going to be distributing it, and I will probably grant permission.) Individuals, On-line services, and User Groups are encouraged to distribute DFA provided it is NOT MODIFIED IN ANY WAY. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- DFA graphically displays free space information on your disk drives. It searches drives C through Z for valid disks, and shows the available space on each valid drive in both bar graph and number form. If any particular drive has less than 20% free space, the bar graph is red. (Otherwise, it is green.) This is because a drive's performance begins to drop significantly after it is 85-90% full. The red helps as a reminder of this fact. Also, after all drives have been searched, summary information is also displayed, (i.e., % free, Mb free of Mb). By default, DFA will only search drives C through Z for speed reasons. If the disk free infomation is desired for drives A and or B, as well as that for C-Z, the following parameters are accepted: DFA a ; Free space info for drives A, C-Z DFA a: ; Ditto DFA b ; Free space info for drives B, C-Z DFA a b ; Free space info for drives A-Z DFA b a ; Ditto DFA ? ; Show online help DFA h ; Ditto --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Network Users: Let me know if this works on your network. Include network type and specifications. NOVELL(tm) Users: Version 1.1 has been tested on a Novell network, with varying results. All free space information is correct, however, the summaries will be wrong if multiple DOS drives are mapped to the same Volume. For example, if drives V: W: X: are all mapped to FS1:, DFA thinks V: W: and X: are separate drives, and will summarize accordingly. If anyone knows a work-around for this phenomena, please send me that information. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: (sorry, gotta have one) Sunny Walker and those affiliated with Xevian Technology shall take no responsiblity for any harm/damage caused by using this program.
