                   Software FREE Support Threatend

     At the Window's Summit where software executives met the first
     week of March. One item to arise was they are preparing for a
     prolonged price war that has been long overdue. With the price
     of computers hitting rock bottom you would think that software
     would follow suit, looks like this may soon happen.

     The fallout is the potential of FREE Support being dropped and
     a fee charged for support.  WordPerfect is noted as having one
     of the very best support teams on a 1-800 line. This may soon
     be the thing of the past and support will then be from your
     own pocket expense.

     So folks don't be surprised to see more bulletin boards coming
     online as a support interface. Sounds good, but then you haft
     to wait a day or two to get an answer to your problem/situation
     provided more information isn't needed. Better yet you leave a
     message for support get your reply and then find it still dosen't
     solve the problem/situation so another dime is invested in a
     long distance call to again having to wait for yet another reply.

     Isn't technology grand.
