{SUNIL PADIYAR TO JOIN ARTISOFT, INC. AS V.P. OF ENGINEERING

     (TUCSON, AZ -- April 8, 1993) -- Artisoft, Inc. announced today that
     Sunil Padiyar will join the company as Vice President of Engineering,
     reporting to William Keiper, President and Chief Operating Officer.

     Mr. Padiyar was most recently Director of Software Engineering  
     Netware Operating Systems for Novell, Inc. (Provo, Utah) and
     previously held several other positions with Novell. In his most
     recent position, he had responsibility for overseeing the development
     of Novell's Netware 4.0, and for continuing development of Netware
     3.11.

     Prior to joining Novell, Mr. Padiyar was a systems engineer and
     project manager for Unisys Cyberware (Farmington Hills, Michigan). Mr.
     Padiyar holds a B.S.E.E. from Bangalore University in India, and an
     MBA from the University of Iowa.
