Hero Character Spreadsheet v1.0 By Allen Phinks What is it? This is a character sheet package for the Hero role playing system. It can be used for any of the hero scenario's, however most of the experimentation was done under the Fantasy Hero system. Much work went into ironing out the bugs, but some may still exist. It was originally written under Lotus 123 v2.1 (c) Lotus corp., but is easily translated to Excel (c) Microsoft Corp. It is assumed that it can be moved to other spreadsheets and across platforms, but this has NOT been tested by the author, and he takes no responsibility for ANYTHING. History: The origination of these sheets are lost in the prehistoric period, but the original sheets were designed mostly by Larry Shafer. The current version is almost unrecognizable as different gamers have given their input and preferences. The most current and radical re-write was undertaken by Allen Phinks in 1992. The sheet was then been tested for 8 months under strenuous gaming conditions. Then a friend of Allen, appreciating the hard work that went into it, had an inspiration. Why not get Allen some compensation, and motivation to improve it even more. Notes: Included with the distribution package are 3 sheets Hero.wk1, Champ.wk1, and sample.wk1. These sheets will take care of calculating through all information for the creation of characters under the Hero System. Base points can be changed by changing the number in cell D28. Cell E45 and G45 should agree in value if the character is balanced. If it is not, cell D26 will read OOPS. Weights of armor are generic and can by modified by you. Hours of hard work have gone into the creation of this character layout sheet. Please feel free to modify it to suit your characters, but please do not distribute it in modified form. If you use the sheet on a regular basis, please mail $5 or whatever you can spare to: Allen Phinks 6131 N. 16th St. Phoenix, AZ 85016 Please make all checks payable to Allen Phinks.
