CONVAIR F-106A "DELTA DART"

     This is my first attempt at an AAF aircraft so bear with me on 
     detail!!  Improvements will be made available as soon as possible.
   * I thought it was time for some experts to get a look at my work
     and give me some tips/pointers on how to improve my models.....

     History:

     The F-106 Delta Dart was developed from the F-102 Delta Dart.  
     Originally designated the F-102B, it was later redesignated the
     F-106 due to it's extensive structural changes and a more powerful
     engine.  The F-106 made it's first flight on Dec 26, 1956.

     The F-106 served with the Air Defense Command as an all weather 
     inteceptor, and incorporated sophisticated electronic equipment 
     to assist the pilot in intercepting his target.

     Special features of this model include:

         - retractable gear (as if you didn't know!!)
         - retractable air brake (activated by lowering flaps!!)

 ** SPECIAL NOTES **
          
     - The F-106 did not incorporate working flaps, therefore, it's
       approach speed was very high.  The average approach speed for
       the F-106 according to various books was 180 KTS.  This model,
       with full flap extension (actually the air brakes) will approach
       landing at 180 - 200 KTS (I love it when a plan comes together!!).

       Ensure you are lined up correctly by giving your self plenty of
       distance between you and the landing point.  Runways have a tendancy
       of getting away from this bird rather quickly!!
       
       Additionally, to ensure realism when taking off, perform a take off
       without activating the flaps.  When airspeed reaches 120KTS, slowly
       pull back on the stick, holding the nose gear off the runway, and 
       allowing the aircraft to rise on it's on.  With practice, you should 
       be able to takeoff from Meigs with ease (Don't sweat it!!).

       I made a mod which lines you up with Meigs Fld at 2500 feet MSL.
       Just drop the power, extend the airbrakes, and lower the gear.
