SUNSET VALLEY GOLF COURSE Name: Sunset Valley Golf Course Par: 71 Yardage: 6,440 yards Designed by: John Kirby Date: June 24, 1993 Description: A fictional course that features streams through the fairways, plenty of sand traps and a couple of surprises along the way. The tee boxes feature 4 positions with some holes having four separate boxes (I guess some standard stuff). Comments: I've tried to incorporate some of the ideas that I've used on my other courses. I have only uploaded one course (Buckham.Zip) to the JNSE Library but have built a number of courses for my private "members only" club (namely my son and I). Sunset Valley Golf Course borrows objects from James Morrow "Avalon Woods - The South Course" and Scott Chesney's "Saint Creek Golf Club" and various other courses. Thank you all for the wonderful objects. I had a lot of fun building this course and spent at least 40+ hours on it. At first, the greens were terribly difficult with severe slopes on some and others having some really bad holes "sinkholes". I did some rebuilding of the greens and even though some of them have a hefty slope, they play true and fair. There is one object that I included in this file (I hope). A SUN. None of the courses that I've seen included this most common of all objects on the golf course (Maybe I missed it somewhere). Hope you like it. A couple of the objects that I modified to fit in with this course are the "PLAYERS BENCH", the "HOLE MAP", and the "BALL WASHER". The "PLAYERS BENCH" came from James Morrow "Avalon Woods - South", (thanks James) and the "HOLE MAP & BALL WASHER" came from the "Jack Nicklaus Unlimited Course Design" (my first computer golf experience). I hope anyone who plays this course enjoys it as much as I did while making it. It was fun to discover new ways to build a course. Stay tuned for a course that I built a few months ago.
