I'm not as good as a Lee Ritze or a Scott Chesney, but one has to start out small. I used the standard background on this course, I should have built my own, but my artistic abilities leave much to be desired when it comes to backgrounds. Blackwolf Run is a local course built in Kohler WI by Pete Dye and was ranked the best new public course in the nation in 1988 by GOLF Digest. The Meadow Valleys course used to be two separate nines that were combined as an afterthought. The Meadows nine is characterized by gentle, rolling terrain of the Southeast watershed of the Sheboygan River. The prairie meadow and woodland backdrop creates a subtle, expansive and wide open environment for golf. The openness is deceiving though as the challenge is much more than is first thought. This is the longest of the nines at Blackwolf Run and has four lakes and many unusual bunker shapings to draw one's concentration off of the golf game. The Valleys nine is characterized by deep ravines and dramatic changes in elevation carved out by the Sheboygan River and Weeden's Creek. Water comes into play on six of the nine holes. Changing winds are prevalent. Comments, criticisms and suggestions for new course settings are always welcome, through the Accolade BBS, 19th Hole BBS, America Online or mail.
