    CORRECTION: Last month in my review of HyperACCESS/WINDOWS, I stated
    that my only complaint was its failure to beep when a transfer was
    completed. In speaking with Hilgraeve, I found that it will beep.
    The sound comes from the PC Speaker, and emits three beeps. I
    apologize to Hilgraeve for this oversight In multi-tasking with
    other programs that make sound, it was hard to hear the beeps. I
    apologize to Hilgraeve for this oversight.

    Congratulations to SOFTWARE CREATIONS BBS. The "Home of the
    Authors," was voted the #1 BBS for 1993 in the Boardwatch 100
    Readers' Choice Contest. Dan Linton started the BBS in 1989 with one
    phone line and a 20 MB hard drive. Today, Software Creations
    services 83 lines with over 2000 calls per day, and 8 gigabytes of

    WORDPERFECT announced release of WP 6.0 for Windows scheduled to
    ship in fourth quarter '93. Upgrade $129. Competitive Upgrade --
    $149. WP also announced the first interim release of WordPerfect 6.0
    for DOS, scheduled to ship Sept. 15. The new release is called WP
    6.0a for DOS. Current users can upgrade for cost of disks and

    CENTRAL POINT SOFTWARE has announced that an OS/2 version of its
    anti-virus software has entered beta testing.

    SOFTWARE PUBLISHING CORPORATION announced it is adopting a new
    support warranty policy that provides customers with unlimited free
    technical support on all products for a period of 90 days after the
    customer's first telephone call. After the free 90-day period,
    customers will continue to receive free automated technical support,
    and may elect to purchase additional live technical support from a
    selection of Premium Support Options. Existing customers will
    receive free support through January 1, 1994. Customers can then
    call 900 ANSWERS for $2.00 per minute, with the first minute free.
    Then can also call 800 Credit Card ANSWERS for $25.00 per call
    billed to VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Additionally 800
    ANSWERS allows customers unlimited number of telephone calls for a
    fixed annual fee. Prices are: Harvard Graphics-- $79; SuperBase-
    $99; and Professional Series products--$39.

    BROTHER INTERNATIONAL announced the HL-6V, a 6ppm, 300dpi, PCL 5
    language emulation desktop laser printer with a suggested list price
    of $995, and projected street prices under $699. Also announced was
    the HL-10h, a 10ppm, 600dpi laser printer with PCL 5e and Postscript
    Language Emulation standard with a suggested list price of $1699.

    CLARIS announced FileMaker PRO 2.1 for  Windows and Macintosh. FM
