THE BUSINESS CARD COLLECTOR

  The new product called Scan in Dex allows you to take thoes
  business cards you collect every day and scan the information
  directly into your personal information manager (PIM).  The
  program creates 400 DPI black and white images of business cards
  and then converts the data into fielded text that can be imported
  into applications such as ACT or Lotus Organizer, and PackRat.
  If you don't have a PIM, the Scan in Dex software also acts as a
  minidatabase and lets you decide if you want to store the
  business card information as a scanned image or as converted
  text.

  The scanner itself is compact measuring 2.1 by 6.65 by 6 inches
  and weighs less then 2 pounds.  The downfall is that is requires
  an expansion slot rather than attaching to a serial or parallel
  port.

  A great desktop utility in today's business world.
