Introduction As time goes by disk drives are getting bigger and bigger. Sometimes you have to delete some type of file(s) and you may not know where the file(s) are. The JS-FDEL utility greatly simplifies the task of finding and deleteing of files. Example : JS-FDEL [options] file mask .... JS-FDEL will search for file(s) and delete the file(s). JS-FDEL can also search for file(s) on more then one drive at a time . OPTIONS ------- -P or -p This tells the utility will NOT prompt you on each file. EXAMPLE # 1 ----------- JS-FDEL A:\*.EXE C:\*.EXE Example # 1 tells JS-FDEL to delete all *.exe file(s) from drive a: and drive c:. also the utility will prompt you to confirm the delete of each file one at a time. EXAMPLE # 2 ----------- JS-FDEL -P A:\*.EXE C:\*.EXE Example # 2 tells JS-FDEL to delete all *.exe file(s) from drive a: and drive c:, But also the utility will NOT prompt you at each file to see if you went to delete it. EXAMPLE # 3 ----------- JS-FDEL -P A:\*.EXE C:\DOS\*.COM Example # 3 tells JS-FDEL to delete all the *.exe file(s) from drive a: and than delete all the *.com file(s) from drive c: dir DOS. The utility will NOT prompt you for. EXAMPLE # 4 ----------- JS-FDEL [M-N]*.* Example # 4 tells JS-FDEL to delete all the files with a 'M' or a 'N' as the first letter of its name. The utility will prompt you to confirm the delete of each file one at a time. EXAMPLE # 5 ----------- JS-FDEL ?JOHN.DAT Example # 5 tells JS-FDEL to delete all the files with any character as the first letter of its name, but the rest of the name must be JOHN.DAT. The utility will prompt you to confirm the delete of each fiel one at a time. Registration I will keep improving the program if I know enough people are finding it useful. My registration policy is very flexible. The nominal fee are listed in the file REGISTER.TXT. If you don't feel you will get your money worth of use out of JS-FDEL, send whatever it is worth to you. If you are impoverished and can't afford to pay anything, enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope and I will send you a registration. This is not freeware or public domain. Shareware is simply a means of marketing commercial software. You are required to register if you intend to use this program after a reasonable trial period.
