I found the following recipe for mulled cider in this 1943 Joy of
Cooking. Sure looks easy. We had mulled cider at the arts and crafts
show we recently did up in Mossy Creek, GA. It was cold and rainy the
whole weekend and the cider really hit the spot.

Mulled Cider

Heat well, but do not boil, Apple Cider
Add to it a few cloves and a cinnamon stick.

BTW, hot mulled apple juice is almost as good and makes a refreshing hot
drink in cold weather. I like to serve it with crackers and sharp
cheese.
