Its easy. Its quick and its Mmm Mmm Good. 2 Large or 3 medium onions, sliced (we sometimes toss in one of those sweet red ones with 2 yellow ones) 1/4 cup margarine or butter 6 cubes or 6 teaspoons beef bouillon Dash pepper 1 quart (4 cups) water 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 4 to 6 slices French bread, toasted (use croutons. It's easier and I think it's better) Grated Parmesan cheese (and we also add lotsa Mozzarella) In large saucepan, cook onions in margerine until tender. Add bouillon, pepper, water and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer covered, 20 to 25 minutes to blend flavors. To serve, top each serving with a slice of toasted French bread (use the croutons, really, its better) and sprinkle with Parmesan (and Mozzarella). Place the individual servings under the broiler until cheese is melted. Enjoy. Then let someone else do the dishes. My wife always does!
