You cut up the potato with the slicer and just dunk 'em into the preheated Fry Daddy til they're golden. But there's another way that works too, and it's easy because what you work with are baked potatoes. Cover the bottom of a saute pan with about a quarter inch or so of fry fat and bring it up to what might look like 350 degrees....all sizzle but no smoke kind of a thing--I test it with a drop of water, and if it spits enthusiastically, it's right...and just put a golden tan on them.
