Conf: (37) Home Cooki --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beef Teriaki 2 lbs.flank steak,cut diagonally 1/2 cup soy sauce across grain in thin strips 1/2 cup sherry 1 medium onion,peeled & chopped 2 Tbsp. cooking oil 1 clove garlic,peeled and split lengthwise 2 Tsp. cornstarch 2 Tbsp. ground ginger dissolved in 1 Tbsp.  water 2 Tbsp.sugar 2 cups hot cooked rice Place steak slices in a large non-metal bowl.Cover with onion,garlic, ginger,and sugar. Combine sherry and soy sauce,and pour over meat mixture & let it stand at room temperature 3-4 hours.Remove beef strips and blot dry. Strain marinade and set aside. Heat oil in wok over high heat.stir fry strips a few at a time until lightly browned.Place on a hot platter. Add strained marinade to wok and bring to a boil.Add dissolved corns -tarch and stir until liquid thickens.Pour over beef strips and serve over Hot rice.
